Murdoch 2019 AFL Footy Tipping Competition

The Murdoch AFL Footy Tipping Competition will start on Thursday 21 March!.

HOW TO JOIN

As in previous years the competition is being run using a web based program, footytips.com.au. Search for "Murdoch 2019" or simply follow this link http://www.footytips.com.au/comps/Murdoch_2019 to join in.  The password is: PRV12163

All Murdoch participants will be able to log on and access competition information. You will be able to input your tipping preferences, view your current position, retrieve statistical data and even enter your tips weeks in advance.

PRIZES

There will be a weekly cash prize and overall season prizes. Over the last few years the number of tippers has grown with more than sixty people from all areas of the Murdoch community signing up last year.

The more the merrier, could you please spread the words and invite your Murdoch colleagues to join in, it will also increase the amount of prizes. The prize pool will consist of 75% of the weekly pool paid out as the weekly prize, which was a little over $110 for each week’s winners in 2018.Weekly winners will be determined by the tipper’s score for the round in question and then by their margin difference for the same round and then by their accumulated margin. Just as a reminder, we only tip for the home and away season.Twenty-five per cent of each weekly pool will be carried forward for season prizes, which will be:• 1st: 40% of season prize pool• 2nd: 30% of season prize pool• 3rd: 20% of season prize pool• 4th: 10% of season prize pool.

FEES and PAYMENT

Fee is $65 for the whole season. Payment methods:1. Salary Deduction Form can be downloaded and submitted online through the P&C staff portal.

Option: 1. You are able to have the $65.00 season tipping fee set up as an automatic deduction from your salary ($6.50 per fortnight for 10 pay periods) or  b. alternatively deducted as a one off payment for the 2019 season. NOTE though, People & Culture (HR) is yet to update the Salary Deduction form... they are still working on a process - the form will need to be submitted via Murdoch Support at https://murdochuni.service-now.com/ms rather than by emailing them to HR mailbox or handing it in in person.

2. A one-off payment deposit to the Murdoch Footy Tipping bank account (BSB: 806036; Account Number: 60513275), or in person at the Murdoch Credit Union.

3. If you must, you can pay a one-off payment of $65.00 in cash to Royce Jenkins or Karyn Barenberg. If you are a casual employee you will have to pay the one off fee as it can’t be deducted from your salary.
