Finding a better balance for everyone at Murdoch Murdoch celebrated International Women's Day and acknowledged progress towards SAGE Athena SWAN accreditation. Murdoch celebrated IWD this year in the Winter Garden, with more than 160 staff and students gathering together to enjoy a morning of inspiring speakers, entertainment and morning tea. Keynote speaker Dr Francesca Maclean addressed the crowd with astute observations of her experience as a young woman working in STEMM. Professor Colleen Hayward and James Treacy presented their comments on what it will take to find a better balance for all - in the workplace, our communities and our homes. The event provided an opportunity to acknowledge our progress on the SAGE Athena SWAN project and the launch of our new web page was announced. https://www.murdoch.edu.au/pages/athena-swan Murdoch also congratulated Professor Rhonda Marriott for her induction into the Western Australian Women’s Hall of Fame, announced at a ceremony in Government House the previous evening.
