Earth Hour Results Thanks to a great turnout for Murdoch University's Earth Hour on Friday 29 March, you helped save the equivalent of 336 average Perth households' electricity consumption in just one hour. Well done! About 400 staff and students enjoyed a relaxed hour of 'down time' on Bush Court, having shut down their lights, computers and other electrical devices. In addition to relaxing with picnic lunches, music, and good vibes, many people provided their 'blue sky' ideas for sustainability on our campuses, in consideration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and signed their personal commitment to the SDGs. We need your feedback about the SDGs at Murdoch University- what are your priorities for implementing this important initiative? Information gathered from the Earth Hour event, and this survey, will be used to determine our next steps in bringing the SDGs to life at Murdoch University. Complete the survey and go in the draw to win one of two $50 Eftpos vouchers, kindly donated by Unibank. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Murdoch_SDGs Earth Hour has come and gone, but your positive actions everyday will continue to make a difference. Thank you! To get your own SDG Pledge card, for more information on the 'back end' of our electricity savings, or any questions about Earth Hour or the SGDs, please contact Leah Knapp, Sustainability Manager.
