Di Bello’s Pizza and Pasta to open at Student Hub

Opening next week, Di Bello’s Pizza and Pasta is the final food business to join our other successful tenants in the Student Hub. Their menu is based on healthy, home-styled, traditional Italian cooking, featuring a range of fresh pizzas, cooked to order pasta dishes, a range of salads and desserts.

The owner, Paolo di Bello, is not a new face around campus. Paolo has been running ‘The Pasta Truck’ across the Perth metro area since 2015 and has been a popular attraction at the Pop-Up Ref.

With almost 20 years of experience in Italy and Australia, Paolo is looking forward to this next venture.

“I’m excited to bring iconic pasta dishes, fresh pizza and other Mediterranean street food into the Student Hub.” Paolo said. “I’m pleased to say ‘Il pranzo è servito!’ or ‘lunch is served!’”

Richard Kendall from the Property, Development and Commercial Services Office explained the University has designed and funded the construction of this final food tenancy.

“The intention with this store is to provide shorter term, flexible lease arrangements so that we can bring in independent operators who would not otherwise be able to justify the high construction costs for the shop fit-out. This store is designed so that the tenant can just drop in their specialist catering equipment. We wanted to keep the quality high, but help support unique local businesses.” Richard said.

Di Bello’s Pizza and Pasta is located just outside the Student Hub, facing into the Summer Courtyard on the southern side of the building. Signage will be in place next week help locate the store.
