The Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence (Professional Services) for year ending 2018

The Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence (Professional Services) recognises outstanding performance and contribution by a member/s of the University's Professional Staff up until the end of 2018.

Recognition
The overall winner will receive a professional development grant of $2,000 and presentation of the Award at an appropriate ceremony. The grant can be used for conference attendance and travel, or other professional development activities.

Nominations
Professional Staff can be nominated individually or as a group by their colleagues, supervisor or other members of the University community.

The person nominating will be required to attend a 30-minute meeting with the Selection Panel detailing how the nominee meets the Award’s selection criteria, why they should receive the Award and provide adequate evidence supporting the nomination.

The Vice Chancellor will select a winner/s for the Award with the assistance of a small panel of Professional Staff.

Potential Areas for Recognition
The University is committed to recognising outstanding performance and contribution in supporting the University, wider community and commercial environment.
Submit the Nomination Form and explain why you believe the nominee/s should be recognised for their excellence and how they have shown this by addressing all of the following numbered points, (total submission should not exceed two pages):

  1. Enhancing the image and reputation of the University through academic, environmental, commercial or community endeavours;
  2. Producing distinctive solutions/results that show leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship positively improving organisational performance;
  3. Fostering of a team environment that promotes, talent, communication, cooperation and respect of differences;
  4. Establishing successful collaborative relationships within the University that promote sharing of knowledge, inspiring motivation and shared problem solving;
  5. Advancing the University’s vision towards service to people, reputation and relationship building.

Eligibility
All continuous, full-time and part-time Professional Staff, as well as fixed term Professional Staff with an employment term over 12 months, are eligible for nomination. 

Nominations must be received by COB Monday 13 May 2019 and are to be sent by email to Sue Senior (s.senior@murdoch.edu.au) using the Nomination Form.  Further information can be obtained P&CO website or from Sue Senior.
