This advanced course has been designed to meet the requirements of the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education at Descriptor Two as set down by AdvanceHE. This confers eligibility for the award of Fellowship (FHEA).
The Advanced Certificate (as with Unit 1), is taught using a blended approach, comprising five face-to-face, two-hour workshops, supported by online modules, to enable you to complete the assessments; a planned teaching project and final paper, which involves a process of planning adjustments to teaching, peer review and evaluation.
As a participant of the course, you will hear from facilitators with expertise in higher education learning and teaching. The materials for each module have been designed by a member of staff from the Professional Learning Team in the PVCE Portfolio, with contributions from guests who have recognised expertise in a particular area and/or award-winning practical experience in higher education. The ethos of the Certificates is strongly collaborative, so you have the opportunity to learn from and work with each other.
