As a result the Symantec Endpoint Protection client on all computers requires an update. This update will then require a reboot after installation is complete to enable full protection of devices.
All computers across campus will have their anti-virus software updated starting from 5pm on Monday 15 July.
This installation is automatic, and you will receive a notification to approve a reboot. The reboot can be temporarily suspended, however a forced reboot will occur at 4am on the Sunday following installation.
It is recommended that staff reboot their devices at a time that is convenient. Alternatively make sure that all work is saved before going home on the Friday following installation.
