We'll be planting in the campus' Wildlife Corridor, a restoration site that links the Banksia Woodlands to the Chelodina Wetlands.

 

This site provides habitat for quendas and other native animals, and food and roosting sites for the endangered Carnaby's Black cockatoo and the Forest Red-tailed Black cockatoo. MERG started restoring this part of the old pine plantation in 2010 and the new area will build on that very successful corridor, making it wider and more resilient.

 

The event is free and family- friendly. We'll put on a healthy BBQ lunch! Bring your water bottle, gardening gloves if you have them, and dress for the weather.

 

Please note this is the only public tree planting event on campus this year. We will be pre-digging holes, so the hard work will mostly be done!
