Volunteer an hour of your time to help lost students find their way around campus during the first two weeks of Semester 2.

After the successful trial of this initiative in Semester 1, we are again running a wayfinding service for students for the first two weeks of Semester 2.

Professional staff are encouraged to spend an hour at one of four key locations around campus to help lost students find their way.

Don’t worry if you don’t know your way around campus fully – as long as you can point students in the right direction and help them along, you're making a difference.

When: Monday 29  July - Friday 9 August

Time: 8.00am – 12.00pm every weekday

Locations:

  • Direction Point 1 - bottom of stairs outside Chancellery
  • Direction Point 2 - near Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre
  • Direction Point 3 - near Bookshop intersection
  • Direction Point 4 - near the McCusker Room as students get off the bus.

What to wear: New Student Portal promotional t-shirts will be available (t-shirts are limited so email Julie Whitlock j.whitlock@murdoch.edu.au for your free shirt) or wear your red Murdoch shirt and a friendly smile :)

How: Arm yourself with the Murdoch Maps web app and promotional flyers to encourage students to download the new myMurdoch student portal app.

Briefing Session: Prior to Monday 29 July we will hold a half hour briefing session for all volunteers to resolve any questions and issues prior to the day.

You can also buddy up with a friend but please act quickly as there are only 16 places to fill.

Sound good? Book now: Send an email to Rachel Weir at R.Weir@murdoch.edu.au with your preferred time and location. Thank you!
