The challenge offers 4 different distance options for mountain bike riders and 3 for runners (in the Mighty Jarrah Trail Run), including a 6km doggie dash for our best friends to join in on the fun.
Riders and runners who take on the challenge get to experience the best single track and fire trail the region has to offer travelling a course carefully curated by a team of mountain biking legends and course directors, led by the legendary Tony Tucknott.  This year Muscular Dystrophy WA (MDWA) have made the huge commitment to deliver The Dwellingup 100 - one of WA’s largest one day mountain bike races.

As some of you may know, Professor Sue Fletcher is a life member of MDWA after being involved with the organisation over many years. She’s always been closely connected to the organisation and provides support to the team through fundraising initiatives, volunteering her time and by generous donations.

MDWA provided some funding to Sue and her team around the time they pioneered antisense oligomers to overcome dystrophin mutations that cause Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Kristin West, Murdoch University researcher, will be riding her 7th challenge in this year’s event. We would like to invite the staff and students at Murdoch University to sign up and fundraise for this event in recognition of Sue and her incredibly strong connection to MDWA.

There are 3 prizes on offer according to the amount of money you raise:

1st PRIZE: Raise $1,000 for 1 entry into the draw to win a brand new Toyota Corolla (and for every further $1,000 you raise, you get an extra entry)

2nd PRIZE: Raise $500 to get 1 entry into the draw to win an AFL Grand Final package for 2 (including flights and accommodation)

3rd prize: Raise $250 to receive 1 entry into the draw to win $1,000 cash

PLUS all fundraisers reaching a minimum amount of $250 receive a $20 Coles Myer voucher.

At the same time as focussing on Support for Life (everyday needs), MDWA also commits funds to vital research on improving nutrition in children with neuromuscular conditions through Perth’s Children Hospital.
