On Windows 10 devices today, your desktop, documents and pictures folders are not protected from loss.  The information held on them is stored locally on the device.

What’s happening?

From the middle of August, we will be changing all devices currently on Windows 10 to synchronise the desktop, documents and pictures folders to your OneDrive account.

This means that your documents will be protected, in case you lose your device or there is a hardware failure.

You will also be able to access your documents from any device using your OneDrive account.

Please note, this change only applies to staff using a Windows 10, Murdoch-issued device.
