  Call for Abstracts for 2013 MUPSA Multidisciplinary Conference now open. Abstract submission deadline is 15 June 2013. Eligible presenters are all Murdoch University Australia postgraduates who are candidates for Doctorate/Master by Research or Master by Coursework with dissertation.   Staff Culture Survey - Reminder
  Many staff will have received an opportunity to respond to the Culture Survey, which was sent to 40% of staff on the 3rd May. The survey has been developed in conjunction with the Pacific Institute, to help us better understand the University culture and so guide our leadership and decision-making in a way that will help us to achieve the objectives set out in the Strategic Plan.

  If you had a publication or research output in 2012 you need to ensure it is entered into the University’s Research Management System, IRMA, by the end of May with all relevant support documentation. This information is used to calculate the amount of funding we receive from the Federal Government.

  LMS ECM Update
  As the LMS project continues to move forward, training and support of the new LMS (Moodle) will be transitioned from the project team to CUTL. As of 13th May, any questions or concerns will need to be directed to CUTL via lms@murdoch.edu.au or by the LMS support webpage (http://our.murdoch.edu.au/CUTL/New-LMS/).   QS Reputational Survey Closes 17th May 2013.
  The opinion of academics worldwide is a core component of the QS Rankings. Murdoch is currently ranked equal 401 in the QS Rankings. Late last year nominations were sought for colleagues you collaborate with who may nominate Murdoch as an “outstanding” University in the QS survey. QS rankings are used by a number of overseas government agencies to confirm eligibility for Scholarships to highly ranked institutions, and are viewed by over 24,000 new visitors every month.

  Tree Planting - Volunteers Wanted
  Help plant habitat trees, shrubs and sedges in Melaleuca Swamp. Revegetation of this site began in 2012 and as well as beautifying the area, it creates habitat for quendas and small birds in this part of campus. There will also be another planting day on 5th June in the Wildlife Corridor and 22nd June in the Banksia Woodland, so come along to one or all events if possible.
