  From Mouse to Man: Developing novel compounds for pain relief.
  Chronic pain comes in many forms and poses a significant unmet medical need and economic burden for modern societies. This seminar, by Professor Dave Spanswick of Monash University, will outline a number of strategies employed by us to develop novel pharmacological agents for pain relief.

  Humans Versus Zombies 15th to the 19th of April.
  This game is unique this year in that it will be cross campus with Curtin University and Murdoch University. Missions will be occuring on both campuses. The game is aimed to create social networks and relive stress from university student, by creating inter school associations and learning more about both Curtin and Murdoch.   Microsoft Exchange 2010 email upgrade for all Staff
  As part of Library and Information Services goal of providing a better staff email experience all staff email accounts will be upgraded from the existing Exchange 2003 system to a new Exchange 2010 system. This migration should be a background task with little or no downtime for staff and will provide a 1GB mailbox, greatly improved Webmail and a number of other improvements.

  Black Cockatoo Surveys - Volunteers Required and Training Available
  If you’re keen on helping with this year’s Great Cocky Count and weekly black cockatoo surveys please attend this training session (3rd April) and register your availability. Lots of trained volunteers are required to survey sites across Murdoch University’s South Street and Peel campuses for overnight roosting by Carnaby’s (and Forest Red-tailed) Black Cockatoos at sunset on Sundays and/or sunrise on Mondays from 7th April to 13th May.
