“Pride Month is a great chance for boosting visibility and celebrating our LGBTIQA+ community, and I hope to see as many people as possible at our upcoming events!”
Free Pride at Murdoch goodies
Pop on over to Counselling reception anytime during the month of November to pick up a free pronoun badge and a Pride 2022 postcard print! The badges have plenty of options to choose from, and the postcard is a great one to brighten up your work or study space.
Our annual Pride Picnic is for Staff, Students, Alumni and members of the Murdoch University community to celebrate our rich LGBTIQA+ community network for Pride Month. Partners and Allies also welcome! Please feel free to bring along lunch or a plate to share, enjoy some free live music from local talent, soak up the amazing weather and get to know your community a little better down at the Murdoch Tavern.
Fair Day with Pride WA / 13 November
Fair Day is a great Sunday out in the beautiful Hyde Park, where Murdoch will be hosting a stall to chat about the work and research we’re doing in the LGBTIQA+ space. Stop by if you’re heading to Fair Day!
Join LGBTIQA+ Academic Lead Dr Rebecca Bennett and Pride and Respect Officer Emily Readman for a lunchtime sharing session between LGBTIQA+ staff and students. This session will hold space to share experiences and facilitate conversations about student belonging at Murdoch and Queering the Curriculum. Please note that this is an event only for LGBTIQA+ staff and students. Allies, please come along to our Pride Picnic or Sundowner!?
Come on down to the Tavern and celebrate Pride Month with free live music provided by AWE, from 4-6pm. Our sundowner is a casual opportunity to connect with your community, share a drink and enjoy some tunes. Friends, partners, and allies also welcome!

Join the Murdoch LGBTIQA+ Community at the iconic Northbridge Pride Parade! Spaces are limited, and registrations are open now to be a part of the Murdoch University entry.
MQC x AWE Queer Beers / 30 November
Murdoch Queer Collective meets every Wednesday afternoon during teaching periods for Queer Beers, from 4-6 at the Tavern. Join the collective to celebrate a year of connection, advocacy and community. This edition of Queer Beers will also have a beaded bracelet activities and cake!
