About aRMT
The aRMT is a one-year (36 credit point) research degree that provides additional choice to students who want to continue their education in research as a pathway to PhD or to up-skill for the next stage of their careers. The course includes 12 credit points (four units) of research training coursework and 24 points of research; all delivered using a trimester-based system, commencing in January 2025.
At the completion of the course, students will have a globally recognised higher degree by research and will have the necessary qualification and skillset to apply for Doctoral studies or embark on other career pathways. The cost of the aRMT is dependent on residence status. Domestic students will pay no fees as this degree is offset by the Federal Government Research Training Program (RTP). International students should contact the Graduate Research Office for more information.
Important Steps to Get Started:
Importantly, as the aRMT is a Higher Degree by Research (HDR), you will need to identify a potential Principal Supervisor before enrolling. It would be best if you, therefore, discussed this option with relevant Murdoch University staff to ensure this degree is the right option for you.
Applicants who already have a project identified with a potential supervisor are encouraged to apply directly via the application processes.
Alternatively, a list of potential research projects have been identified and uploaded to the Accelerated Research Masters with Training website.
Interested applicants are invited to attend the upcoming HDR Open Evening:
