The Conversation: Celebrating learning and teaching at Murdoch On Wednesday 17 September, Sir Walter Murdoch would have been 140 years old! So come and celebrate his birthday with us as part of the exciting three-day University-wide celebration of learning at Murdoch University. For the event schedule, biographies and booking information visit the Minds and Lives page on our website. We would like all staff to participate in the dialogue and debates. The first question we want to ask colleagues is: What does Murdoch University mean to you? If you want to give your answer to this question and be part of the Murdoch Conversation interactive sessions during the three-day event, you just need to download the Socrative App (student version) from the App store onto your smart phone or tablet and enter this code: 79e1ea8b. As part of the celebration of learning at Murdoch, we will also be announcing the Office of Learning Technology two Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning as part of the Australian Awards for University Teaching earned by two extraordinary staff members. The excitement continues with the announcement of the two winners of the VC’s Excellence in Teaching awards. All of this will be announced on Friday 19 September in the VC’s short address. Do come and participate! You can also follow the official hashtag #MindsAndLives on Twitter or connect up with us on Facebook. If you have special photos from your time at Murdoch University and want to share them with colleagues and students, upload them to Instagram or Twitter and tag them with #MindsAndLives Places are limited so make sure you book in now to avoid disappointment...
