It's a great idea to gain extra qualifications while you're a student, especially those that can help you gain part-time work.
The Murdoch Guild have made arrangements with several training providers for these courses, AND we also provide a partial subsidy in cost. The workshops that are running during week 10 are First Aid and Bar Training, available on the following dates:
First Aid:
- Tuesday October 1st (only a few spots left!)
- Wednesday October 2nd
This is recognised as accredited to the equivalent of HLTAID003. It involves a few hours of theory homework and a day of prac which runs around six hours.
Bar Training:
- Tuesday October 1st
- Thursday October 3rd
This is an in-house training which runs for around two and a half hours in the evening. You’ll get to learn some theory, as well as practical skills such as how to use the till, pour and mix drinks, and deal with issues that are common in pubs and bars.
