Sixty-five students, staff, allies, and families joined thousands of sparkling rainbow revellers as they wound their way on floats and on foot through the streets of Northbridge for the 29th annual salute to the LGBTI community.
It was the biggest Pride Parade in Perth’s history, with more than 120 floats and thousands taking part in the march around Northbridge on Saturday 2 December.
Vice Chancellor Eeva Leinonen, Provost Romy Lawson, Pro Vice Chancellor College of Arts, Business, Law and Social Sciences Grant O’Neill and Pro Vice Chancellor of Education Kylie Readman also joined in to celebrate alongside students and staff from across the organisation.
Provost Romy Lawson said Murdoch University was built on a foundation of the principals of equity and social justice, as well as opportunity, respect and diversity.
