MAP100 is the Murdoch Academic Passport, an online unit designed to help you with your studies by giving you an introduction to academic integrity.
Academic integrity is defined as a commitment to five fundamental values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility.
There are many ways to make sure you maintain academic integrity in your studies, including correctly referencing and paraphrasing in your uni work.
The unit is broken into five modules. During the five modules, you will:
- discuss why academic integrity is important for study and future professional practice
- demonstrate an understanding of the expectations of the academic environment
- explain the key concepts, principles and practices of academic integrity
- identify and reflect on your motivations for studying.
Murdoch automatically adds you to MAP100 when you start your degree, so there is no need to enrol in the unit. It must be completed in your first semester or trimester, and it should take two to three hours total to complete all five modules.
Find out more info on the Murdoch Academic Passport page, or visit the Murdoch Library webpage for more support with referencing, including Endnote referencing software.
