This year National Science Week is running 15 - 23 August, with hundreds of events and activities taking place around the country.
In celebration of National Science Week, Murdoch University is hosting a range of fun events that are open to the whole Murdoch community. We encourage you to join us and celebrate all things science and technology.
Join our science quiz
On Friday 21 August we’re hosting a Virtual Scintillating Science Quiz Spectacular. Covering a range of science topics, the quiz is a chance to test your knowledge against some of Murdoch’s finest scientific minds. Get your friends and family together to compete or compete on your own for giveaways and prizes.
Celebrate women in science
Our Women in STEMM Research Symposium also takes place Friday 21 August, showcasing the outstanding work being done by female STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) staff at Murdoch University. The event features guest speakers Pro Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Lucy Johnston; Senior Lecturer of Engineering, Dr Martina Calais; Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science, Dr Paola Magni; and Associate Director of Digital Innovations, Julie Whitlock.
