Men's Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in men's health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs around the country. It celebrates the strengths of men, the contributions they make and the important role they play in society.
Men's Health Week works on the understanding that the best people to improve men's health in Australia are those who live, work and play alongside men and boys in communities around the country. So this Men’s Health Week let’s check in with men of all ages in our life, our friends, partners, family and colleagues, and make ‘man time’. And for those identifying as male, this week prioritise your own physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
A simple action could be to make an appointment to see your regular healthcare provider for a general check-in and healthy lifestyle consult. Or, get in touch with your best mate and check in with someone who might be going through a tough time. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength.
