Be safe, not complacent

Published: 6th August 2020

With Semester 2 well underway, it is great to see many students and staff back on campus.

Although COVID-19 restrictions are easing and the campus community is buzzing, it is important that we remain mindful and follow the Phase 4 restrictions as determined by the WA Government and don't become complacent.

One of the easiest ways to keep COVID-19 from spreading is to remain 1.5m away (two arm lengths) from others and avoid all handshakes and other physical greetings.

This is especially important at busy places on campus, such as at the Student Hub and Library. Please remember to stick to the return to campus protocols so we all remain COVID-safe and healthy.

It's also important to practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands and using the hand sanitiser that has been placed in high traffic areas throughout the campus.

If you need to cough or sneeze, remember to do so into a tissue and immediately place into a bin. Or, if a tissue is not available, sneeze into the crook of your elbow.

As always, if you feel unwell, please stay home.

The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone on campus is our number one priority. For more information and latest updates, visit the 'how does COVID-19 affect my studies' advice page.
