Uni travel restrictions extended

Published: 15th October 2020

With all international countries continuing to be rated as ‘Do Not Travel’ by the Australian Government, the University has made a carefully considered decision to extend travel restrictions into 2021.

Travel - 300x420

Unfortunately, this means all Semester 1, 2021 outbound mobility activities (such as study abroad and exchange) that involve international travel prior to 1 June 2021 have been cancelled. Please note all virtual study abroad opportunities are still going ahead as planned.

This also means that no international travel is to be requested, approved or booked for any other University purposes before 1 February 2021.

This decision aims to help us plan our university activities for 2021 and provides a degree of certainty about international travel arrangements, while following our health and safety principles and Government directions.

Please note that interstate University travel also remains suspended until 1 February 2020. Intrastate University travel remains limited to ‘critical travel’ only.

If you have any questions about studying abroad, please contact StudyAbroad@murdoch.edu.au.
