The WA Government has today announced a lockdown for the Perth and Peel regions, commencing at midnight tonight, following a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Perth community.
Key details
The lockdown will remain in place until at least 12.01am on Tuesday 27 April.
The wearing of masks in public is compulsory from 6pm tonight.
All students and staff are advised to go home as soon as possible today.
During the lockdown, the Geoffrey Bolton Library and 24-hour learning common will be closed.
With the lockdown to be lifted at midnight on Monday 26 April, it is expected we will return to pre-lockdown conditions from Tuesday 27 April. Communications will be sent over the weekend if these plans change or if any further announcements from the WA Government are issued.
When to get COVID tested
Any students and staff who have been to the University of Western Australia in the last week need to undergo a COVID test as soon as possible.
Please note, if you have been at any of these sites at the times specified, you need to attend a COVID clinic for testing and isolate at home until you receive a negative resul
