  Racism. It Stops With Me.
  International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 21st March 2013. Murdoch University has joined forces with some of Australia’s leading businesses, sporting bodies and NGO’s to support the “Racism. It stops with me” campaign, which is being led by the Australian Human Rights Commission. The campaign emphasises the importance of taking a stand against racism whenever it happens. Murdoch will undertake activities aimed at preventing racism.

  The Office for Learning and Teaching has announced the closing date for nominations for Academic Secondments - Friday 26 April 2013. Academic Secondments aim to enhance the ties and understanding between the sector, the OLT and DIISRTE. Secondees carry out a program of work for the Government and the higher education sector on strategic priorities.

  As part of Library and Information Services goal of providing a better IT experience, LIS will be upgrading older versions of MS Office to MS Office 2010, for all staff Windows computers, starting on March the 18th 2013.

  Textbook List Submission required today (Tuesday 30.04.13)for Semester 2/Winter Unit 2013
  A common misconception is if we already have texts in stock, you do not need to place a Textbook List order - this is incorrect. If you do not advise the Bookshop of your intention to use a particular book we have in stock by the close of business today (30.014.13) we will return them to suppliers. Re-delivery can take up to 12 weeks. It is important you inform the Bookshop of your textbooks and teaching materials requirements and any other items required today to ensure they are here in time.

  Recordings on the Lecture Capture system
  The Lecture Capture system (LCS) has been operational for 3 weeks. More resources have been added to the Using LCS webpage to assist staff with ensuring quality learning materials are available for their students. Processing is taking longer that anticipated and we are looking at improving this. An email is sent to a Unit Coordinator confirming a recording has been processed so if you have not received an email within 24 hours of your lecture time please contact lectures@murdoch.edu.au
